Ein hölzerner Pavillon am Wingertsberg, in dessen Mitte sich eine Gedenktafel befindet, erinnert an den Lieblingsplatz des Dichters Friedrich Hölderlin. Gleich zweimal zwei Jahre verweilte dieser in Bad Homburg. Der Text auf der Gedenktafel stammt aus einem Brief Hölderlins an seine Schwester. In diesem Brief vom Februar/März 1799 beschreibt er seinen Lieblingsplatz ausführlich. Der Hölderlin-Pavillon wurde 1985 erbaut. Das Areal macht heute zu einem wesentlichen Teil den Park aus, in dem die Werner-Reimers-Stiftung ihren Sitz hat.
